IYAWAYA SECONDARY SCHOOL SHORT HISTORY
Iyawaya Secondary School is a co-education day school located at Inyala Ward, Mbeya Rural District in Mbeya Region, Tanzania with a total area of 20 hectares of land. The school was founded on 10th February 2022 with 5 teachers (four males and one female) after a reduction of students at Imezu Secondary School when the Central Government of Tanzania earmarked 160 million TZS for the construction of 8 classrooms as part of the COVID-19 projects implementation.

The school was registered on 21st February 2022 with registration number S.5756 and centre number S.6469. Since then, it was under the leadership of Headmistress Tibus Napher Makona until 28th March 2022, when she was transferred to another school and Mr. Salmin Jumanne Mwachiluwi was appointed to be the Acting Headmaster for both schools.
On 20th April 2023, Mr. Salmin Jumanne Mwachiluwi was promoted to Headmaster at Ikholo Secondary School, and Mr. Bilei Anderson Chagoha from Malama Secondary School became the Headmaster of Iyawaya Secondary School up to date.
Today, the school has a total of 15 teachers (11 males and 4 females) and at least 450 students from Form One to Form Four.

Mr. Kuleha Kabilamhya Mpangamchu, who developed this website, is also teaching here. He is a full-stack web developer besides his professional career as a teacher.
